Things to do in March

  • When the weather permits:
  • Apply crabgrass control just as the forsythia begin to bloom.
  • Apply pre-emergent weed control and soil sterilizers.
  • Dormant spray fruit and nut trees before the buds show color.
  • Start indoors tomato, pepper, geranium seeds.
  • Start cold crops (broccoli, cabbage, kale, etc.) indoors.
  • Plant lettuce, radish, pea seeds in outdoors when soil is workable.
  • Plan garden areas and landscaping.
